Calorimeter

ETC’s Calorimeters are used to measure the cooling capacity of entire cooling systems and refrigerators as well as components such as compressors, condensers, heat exchangers and coils. Calorimeters are capable of simulating operating parameters, thermal loading and environmental conditions. Controllable parameters include temperature, humidity, pressure, airflow, superheat and sub-cooling.

DX refrigeration system/component

ETC’s most standard Calorimeter types are DX refrigeration system/component, radiator/heater core and surface coil type (water, evaporator and condenser). Airflow measurement is typically by an ASHRAE nozzle airflow tunnel or Laminar Flow Element (LFE).

User-friendly and sophisticated control system

Test and simulation automation control (TSAC) is fully automated and easy-to-use test system. The adaptable and intuitive platform gives customer complete control over every aspect of the test system in real time. The control system framework and its components are selected to achieve maximum availability and reliability while mitigating a potential obsolescence concern down the line. ETC’s advanced data log system records data from wide range of sensors with 2 Hz update rate without supplemental DAQ (Data acquisition) system. Leading factory automation provider Allen Bradley controller is used like our every project. System is controlled from HMI (Human Machine Interface) application. HMI runs on Windows computer, allows operator to control system in real time and monitor its status also it provide remote access for an ETC technician to troubleshoot or make tuning adjustments. The HMI application manages and maintains collection of UUT (Unit Under Test) data including set points and profiles on Microsoft SQL server.
